/>* Teaching them to Identify their emotions and
* Teaching them to express their emotions constructively

#1: Teach Your Child How to Effectively Communicate

The first thing that you are going to need to do to help your child manage stress is to teach them that they should not suppress their feelings inside.You can help your child to effectively express to you the stressful situation that they may be dealing with by initiating a conversation with them and listening to their answers. You can start the conversation by asking:

* What has happened?
* How do they feel about what has happened?
* If they know how to calm down in order to make their self feel better?

#2: Teach Your Child How To Identify Their Emotions

When your child is under stress they may not know how to effectively express the emotions that they are feeling inside. You can help your child to identify if they are happy, sad, angry, scared, puzzled, worried etc. by going over a feelings poster with them. A feelings poster is a poster with several faces and a list of words to describe the feelings on the faces. You can download a free feelings poster by going on line and doing a Google search.

* Go over all of the expressions and explain to the child the meaning of each one
* Ask your child to identify which facial expression on the poster best describes what they are feeling inside.
* Your child may pick out more than one

#3: Teach Your Child How to Express Their Emotions Constructively

Once your child has learned how to tell you about the stressful incident and identify the emotions that they are feeling inside, the next thing that you are going to need to do is to teach your child how to express their emotions in a constructive manner.

You can help your child to deal with stress constructively by talking to your child about the benefits of using their energy to do something positive and the consequences of using their energy to do something destructive.

Constructive ways to express your emotions:

* Draw or paint
* Write, blog or journal
* Take a time out
* Dance
* Exercise
* Play sports
* Play a musical instrument

Destructive ways to express your emotions

* Fighting
* Destroying property
* Ignoring the situation
* Threatening others
* Eating disorders
* Drugs
* Self-harm

The best way to teach your child how to cope with stress is by teaching them how to talk to you about what is stressing them out, recognize the emotions they are feeling as a result of the stressful situation and then teaching them how to release their emotions in a positive manner. If you can teach your children at an early age how to manage their stress, it will be easy for them to deal successfully when they are grown.

Antionette Tate M.Div, is a Inner Peace Expert who enjoys helping people to discover how to maintain their Inner Peace and how to live their life full joy. />Stress relief can feel impossible when everything is going out of control. However, you cannot allow it to control your life. Otherwise, you will end up with health issues and a battered and bruised mental state. Each person deals with anxiety differently, but everyone has one thing in common: they are ultimately responsible to deal with their stress.

Some people know how to get stress relief quickly and easily, and others don’t know how. Not to fear though, if you’re one of those who fall into the second category, here are 3 effective strategies to neutralize your anxiety instantly:

1. Stress is a great motivating tool to inspire you to take action to eliminate your sources of anxiety and ultimately improve your quality of life. By arming yourself with a positive, can-do attitude, you can take charge of the situations that cause you stress. This way, you’re taking control of your anxiety, rather than letting your stress control you. Otherwise, you will continue to be the victim to the anxiety in your life.

2. Believe it or not, your diet and exercise habits (or lack thereof) play a major part in how well you handle stress. A few changes in what you eat and how often you exercise will play a major role in relieving your anxiety. Also, many people tend to turn to smoking when they are stressed, but smoking only temporarily soothes the symptoms of anxiety- it doesn’t solve any problems at all! In the long term, you’re better off quitting smoking, because when you take care of your health, you won’t get stressed so easily.

3. Finally, if you can’t take the stress out of you, take yourself out of stress. That is to say that you should remove yourself from stressful situations if you can. Don’t let yourself be caught up in negativity and unnecessary conflict. If you find yourself in an emotionally abusive friendship or relationship, perhaps it’s time to let go and allow yourself to have relief from the ongoing anxiety. Who you surround yourself with ultimately determines whether you’re always stressed or if you’re living the fun and fulfilled life you deserve.

Don’t believe it for one second if anyone ever claims that you can just pop a pill and get anxiety relief instantly. It may remove the symptoms of stress, but unless you deal with the root of the stress then it will only get worse.

The truth is, you have to work at becoming stress-free. You can make the choice to achieve stress relief right now, but to incorporate it into your lifestyle takes time. In the meantime, expect to see steady improvements in your anxiety levels, and don’t forget to celebrate your small victories against stress each day.

Finally, remember that life’s too good to put yourself at risk from the dangerous consequences of stress. Choose a happy and fulfilled life by choosing to relieve yourself from anxiety today!

Are you in need of stress relief? />Plenty of us find that life in today’s modern world is stressful to say the very least. When we want to be able to get away from the kind of stress that could threaten to overwhelm us, we definitely need stress management tips to help us do that. The nice thing is, we now have the hi tech means by which to share with each other a huge range of tips that previously would have been nearly impossible to share. We can learn how others similar to ourselves are finding ways to manage their high stress job, for example, or how they handle the stress that comes from their family life.

For most of us, there are small routines we can incorporate into our days that will help us be able to calm our bodies. Stress gives us tension and with stress management tips, it is possible to be able to alleviate some of that tension. A lot of people find that focusing on positive thoughts can help for them while others will choose to clear their minds of thoughts and seek relief that way. That can work at the mental or even emotional level, but there is no one tip that will rule over all others.

The key thing when dealing with stress is that you have to find the solution that is going to work out for you personally. It does no good to know a variety of stress management tips that are not giving you the results you want. If you are a physically inclined person and your job is stationary and sedentary, what you may need is a brisk jog during your lunch break. Another person in the same job may be stressed out by the details of the information being handled and this would be mental stress. For this person, stress management tips that help them think of something totally unrelated to their job, or even to not think at all during their lunch break, could very well produce calming results.

As you can see, this example goes to show that each of us are going to need a personal approach to stress management if we really do want the best possible results we can find. You do not have to live with stress and just accept it as something that will build until it one day buries you. Instead, you should certainly seek out and experiment with the tips that you can find.

Those of us who try out a variety of tips are going to find our results faster. If you know someone with a similar personality to your own, ask them for help. If you know someone who is in a similar situation, they may have enlightenment, as well. Keeping looking and you will find ways to manage your stress.

Stop letting stress squeeze the life out of you! Let a clinical psychologist (Dr.Phils teacher) with over 40 years of experience help. Dealing with stress is a problem that every person must endure. If you are human you will have stress, this much is true; but the more a person can minimize the effects of stress ahead of time, the better your chances of successful daily living. A better quality life is what we are all are in search of. Think about these highly useful stress tips when your days are too busy!

Plan and Prioritize. Planning your day is one of the very first things you can do to battle the impending pressure that will come that day. Make a list of things you will have to complete and assign numbers to them based on their importance. This will lead to a clear picture of what to expect and give your mind clarity before you even begin your tasks.

Time Management. When planning out what your day will look like, think smart. Sometimes, tasks can be completed simultaneously – “killing two birds with one stone” as they say. Once you have your numbered list of tasks, adjoin tasks that can be completed at the same time. Then, assign a specific period of time it will take to complete it. For example, #1 on your list is going to the doctor and #5 is to call your mom to discuss Christmas. Join together both. It will look like this…

Go to the doctor. In waiting room, call Mom about Christmas – 1.5 hours.

Thinking smart in how you spend your time can drastically reduce the amount of time your attentions are needed and as a result – your stress levels!

Keep Breathing, Eating and Drinking! Do not forget the all too important tasks of maintaining your physical health. It is very easy to ignore these things on a packed day thus setting yourself up for tension and weakness. Our bodies can function physically, mentally and emotionally much better with proper hydration, nutrients and very vital oxygen. Take the time you need to sit and spend a small amount of time to eat, drink and breathe. This will clear your mind and help you focus on what has been done and what still needs completion.

Take Time to Relax. Time for you to clear your thoughts and relax is crucial in planning a day with minimized stress levels. Do not forget to add this in your list of things to accomplish. A small amount of time 2-3 times a day to rejuvenate will heighten your coping skills and your mind and bodies ability in dealing with stress. Whether it is a 20-minute nap or stretching and having a coffee, whatever your relaxing activity is – just do it. You need this time to restore your sanity and energy levels.

Briefly, if you are facing a tough or busy day, thinking ahead of time and taking care of yourself will push the odds of successfully coping with stress in your favor!

I’m Holly Dennis – an author, mother, and business woman with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Stress Management Training. Changing your attitude

Although there are many factors that determine a person’s mental and emotional well being, the one factor that is most within your control is the way you view life. If you have a poor attitude, everything will tend to seem negative and will be a source of fear. If you believe that life is to be lived fully and in celebration, then even the sad and hard times will not get you down for any longer than it takes for some genuine introspection.

18. Have an attitude that breeds joy and success

I am not just suggesting positive thinking. It’s a wonderful concept, but it won’t help you much when your world is collapsing around you.

Maintaining an attitude that creates productive and effective choices, without or in spite of fear and anxiety, involves the ability to see all things as possible even if you do not intellectually understand how that is so. There is great power in being able to see that possibilities are available even when you are not feeling positive. The key to this is a willingness to conceive of yourself as deserving all of the best that life has to offer. Having this outlook about things is not something that comes automatically at first. It is something that develops over time and can be taught to you.

For more information visit <a
