Multiple job transitions and complete changes in career paths are now the norm. If you know this in advance, it’s a lot easier to be prepared.

Although career change is all but inevitable, it doesn’t have to cause anxiety and fear. With the right approach, you can turn your job transitions into mini-adventures. A job change is not what most people would typically consider a fun adventure. But with just a little creativity, changing careers can be turned into a quest for a new life, a journey into a new unknown world, and an exploration of your goals and dreams.

Job changes, especially when moving into a new career path, can be very challenging. To smooth the transition, you may want to seek the assistance of a competent career coach. Due to the increasing frequency of mergers and acqusitions in large companies, career counselors are becoming more widely available. A career coach can help you understand what you will encounter throughout your transition.

Even if you’ve been in the market for a new job for some time, you will likely benefit from the knowledge of a professional career coach. Although sometimes anxiety isn?t the main cause for excessive sweating, it is one of the most powerful triggers.

Anxiety is a state of mind where we feel a lot of emotions: worry, a sense of emptiness, fear, and can cause physical sensations: increased breathing, nausea, and excessive sweating, are some of them. Anxiety is closely related to our survival, and by itself is not bad, but the thing is we now live in a world different form thousands of years ago, and still we have this same emotion that once helped us deal with the wild world.

Once we are in the state of anxiety, then we lose some control over ourselves, suddenly we find out our hands are sweating excessively, but we can?t help it, because anxiety is slowly taking over us.

Since this is a problem that originates in the mind, is best to treat it from such angle. Two of the best methods are hypnosis and meditation. They are good because they help the mind to relax. Just what we need when anxiety comes knocking to our door. Hypnosis is a safe method, actually is safer than we have made to believe it is. You can?t do anything you don?t want to for example, neither you will be in the altered state forever. Professional psychotherapists have learned the art of hypnosis as an important part of treatments that include suggesting new beliefs.

Meditation, in the other hand leans toward self awareness. What you do when you meditate is close your eyes and focus on just one thing at the beginning, it c<div

As you keep practicing it you will feel that you are in control of yourself, and no the other way.

A sweaty hands surgery in the case of anxiety, is not much recommendable, unless it appears as a severe condition. Cold and calculated, a South Korean student went on a rampage, killing 30 more people till he also died with his own weapon.atching the news cuts through the heart and sent shivers down the spine of an entire nation that witnessed the tragedy at Virginia Tech, and years earlier, the gruesome shootings at Columbine.

A profile of the gunman based from the numerous interviews with his relatives, professors and fellow students indicates that the gunmen looks like suffering from severe emotional distress, having suicidal thoughts, projects depressed moods and socially isolated. Based on recent studies, a person who is constantly isolated is extremely lonely.

Loneliness is the absence of having friends, but having many friends may not guarantee happiness, however, it plays an important role in a person’s mental health according to some psychologist. Having good social relationships makes a person more extroverted and less neurotic. The lack of social networks is perhaps, one reason why most people have social phobia.

Social Anxiety Disorder is the intense and persistent fear of being the company of strangers, fear of scrutiny by others in a social situation, This is often left undiagnosed. A person afflicted with this disorder always anticipates embarrassment and humiliation. Even simple things like public speaking, eating and drinking in public places can cause great anxiety.

The intense anxiety may lead to avoidance behavior.<div

Social Anxiety Disorder is different from shyness. A shy person may feel very uneasy around others but might not experience anxiety. Anxiety usually comes during or before a feared situation. A feared situation can cause a person so much distress and it might interfere with school, work or any social event.

For instance, a child may have a poor school performance due to classroom activities that require constant interaction with the his/her classmates. Social anxiety is a barrier that prevents people from having meaningful relationships. There is a saying that no man is an island,” yet people’s exaggerated fears have hampered their own social development.

To control anxiety attacks, you must be clinically diagnosed by a psychologist or psychiatrist. Many cases of social anxiety disorders closely resemble Avoidance Personality Disorder. Early diagnosis and treatment can prevent the negative effects of these disorders. Treatment of this anxiety can undertaken with the use of different medications such as benzondiazepines, beta-blockers and antidepressants.

Aside from seeking treatment, one of the best ways to combat social phobia and loneliness is by joining a support group. Support groups are a big help where people with sever anxieties can learn different techniques to cope with their disorder. But a combination of medication and therapy can go a long, long way. Therapy may be focused on the management of anger and improvement of self-esteem and social skills. In combination with therapy, anti-anxiety medication may help those suffering from social disorders to lead more normal lives.

Michael Corvin

Author Bio
Did you find this article informative? It is when this anxiety gets out of control and begins to interfere with one’s daily routine that the matter should be looked into more closely.

The cause of anxiety is usually based on a variety of factors. Usually, people feel that several things are attacking them all at once and they can’t take it anymore. The typical situation is of a high school teacher, who has to deal with a demanding schedule and unruly teenagers at work, then he comes home to a complaining wife and crying kids, and at the back of his mind, he constantly worries about due bills and mortgage payments.

Probing into the Patients Recent and Remote Past

In all cases, it is the patient himself who is the biggest help to diagnose the actual cause of anxiety. Psychiatrists often ask the patient to keep a detailed journal about his symptoms and the events leading to them. The patient is asked to jot down his thoughts before the start of the anxiety and where he was when this happened. Often, the cause of anxiety attacks can be determined by reviewing these log books and noting the most common trigger to anxiety.

A detailed history of the patient’s childhood and adolescence can also help figure out the cause of anxiety. Traumatic events in one’s childhood can scar the person for life. Death of a loved one in a hospital can make an individual fear doctors and hospitals forever. Or maybe, a dog bite in t<div

The problem can be tackled step by step after the root of the problem is discovered. Gradual desensitization can be used to help the patient overcome his fears over time.

For instance, if the patient is scared of drowning in water, the doctor will help him by exposing him to different levels of water, beginning from the bath tub and ending at the beach. This usually helps overcome the fear completely, but requires a lot of time and patience.

Once the cause of anxiety is figured out, the battle is half won and the management can now continue by focusing on the actual problem.

Alien

Author Bio
Alien writes for <a

Separation anxiety is a difficulty that many dogs experience when left alone at home or in a less familiar place. It is natural response for a puppy to be strongly bonded to its mother and litter mates, and when he leaves the litter, this bond will naturally transfer to the owner. This is generally a healthy relationship and generates a bond between a pet and owner. It is only a problem when the dog becomes too dependant on its owner and behavioural problems are created.

Separation anxiety is often characterised by urinating and defecating in the house by a usually house-trained dog, destruction of furniture and other items including beds, floors, furniture and doors, barking, whining, howling and hyperactivity. The dog may also appear depressed, although it is essential to remember that all of these traits can have other causes, both medical and psychological, so a check-up at the vets is always the first course of action. Separation anxiety is probably the culprit if the behaviour occurs soon after the departure of the owner and if the dog gives a hyperactive, prolonged greeting when the owner returns.

Certain breeds of dog are more dependant and therefore more prone to separation anxiety, but so too are dogs who have had traumatic events in their past that have encouraged an increased attachment once they finally find a loving owner. Puppies that were taken from their mother too early and puppies or dogs that have spent time in pet shops or animal shelters are also more susceptible to suffering when left alone by their owner. Changes in routin<div

A dog that follows its owner from room to room, whines and whimpers, shakes and generally seems distressed as the owner prepares to leave the house is very often starting its episode of anxiety. This is where an owner can begin to re-train their dog to react differently to their departure.

A method known as ?planned departure? has proved to be very effective and is far more productive than simply correcting the behaviour, as it deals with the cause of the problem. The idea is to mould the dog’s reaction by making a series of short departures. As the anxious response always occurs very shortly after the owner leaves the premises, the dog is left for only a few minutes (or even seconds to start with) to ensure that he returns before the dog becomes frenzied. The owner should leave the house quietly and calmly without speaking to the dog or giving him attention and should not allow the dog to exhibit a prolonged greeting on his return ? simply ignoring the behaviour and turning away will gradually discourage this. The planned departures should be very slowly increased in length, never staying away long enough for the dog to become agitated or frenzied. It take time to break old habits and patience will be necessary, but this process will eventually work. Once the dog is untroubled during a thirty minute departure, the length of time can be increased by larger increments.

If this method is taking a long time and is showing little sign of being effective, the owner can increase the effectiveness by systematically ignoring the dog around the house for a period of up to three weeks. The dog will not suffer from this, nor will the bond between dog and owner be lessened, but the dog will certainly be confused at first, especially if he’s used to a lot of attention. It can help a dependant, anxious dog find a calmer, more independent existence which will facilitate periods of being alone in the home.

Justine Kay

Author Bio
Justine Kay is an experienced dog owner and trainer.
