/>As an Anger Management Expert I have noticed a prevalent self-induced problem that creates anxiety, frustration and anger and that problem is time Management. Many people add to their already stressful lives by not managing their time well. They are frequently either rushed or late and don’t realize that it has a negative impact on their lives.

When clients tell me they “don’t have enough time in their day”, I ask them who makes up their schedule. If you plan more activities than you have time for, then you create anxiety and pressure, which can definitely lead to frustration and anger management issues.

A common example is when you don’t leave a realistic amount of time to get somewhere. You get in your car and get angry at other drivers and red lights that are slowing you down. Unnecessary “road rage” can be the result and is a common reason many people are ordered to an anger management class. If you can factor in ahead of time possible traffic and other unknown variables the result is a calmer drive. I always plan more time than I think I will need to prevent unnecessary stress.

Poor time management also leads to being chronically late which can impact your life both in social and work situations. Arriving for a job interview with residual anger from your ride is not in your best interest. The people in our lives can feel disrespected or unappreciated when you consistently waste their time or appear to have more important things to do with your time. They can become hurt and angry.

One unfortunate results of poor time management can be a lost job, angering the people we love, or placing ourselves in dangerous situations. We can also appear to be a selfish uncaring person when we are not.

I don’t understand why some people are in such a rush. There is all the time we need to successfully accomplish our goals if we plan a realistic schedule each day. Most importantly, we are more peaceful. Instead of increasing our stress, we enhance both our mental and physical health.

Shannon Munford is an anger management expert and the owner of Daybreak Counseling Service. Dayrbeak Counseling Service is a national anger management education center.

Heart disease is perhaps the nation’s most prevalent killer of men and women. Because of this, there is constant research being conducted to find a cure for heart disease. Although there is no official cure as of yet, a few procedures and treatments do show a great deal of promise.

A Simple Potential Cure for Heart Disease

Recent studies have indicated that the same methods used to prevent heart disease can possibly be a way to cure heart disease. These studies indicate that a drastic change in diet and exercise practices can in fact reverse or even cure heart disease.

One such program is the one presented by Dean Ornish Program. Based on a whole food and plant based diet, this program provides a very regimented and regulated plan as a cure for heart disease. According to this program, there are a number of steps that are necessary to reverse the affect of this killer disease.

The first is to lower the fat intake to 10% of your daily calorie intake. This action alone has been shown to lower cholesterol, and help with hypertension, both major contributing factors of heart disease. Also, this plan calls for lowering the intake of dietary cholesterol by a drastic amount. In addition, this program calls for a regular amount of soy protein, usually amounting to 15% of your daily calorie intake.

In addition to some drastic dietary changes, this program also calls for at least 30 minutes of strenuous exercise per day to help maintain a healthy weight and body condition. All these factors, as well as quitting smoking and d<div

Many studies indicate that joining a support group and having the encouragement of family and friends is a fantastic way to help beat this disease. Different stress management techniques such as meditation, anger management, and even being among friends are great ways to help in the cure for heart disease.

Surgical Options

Of course, occasionally for various reasons, drastic changes in diet or exercise practices are not really available to the patient. Diet and exercise should always be the first change made in finding a cure for heart disease, but sometimes surgery might be a possibility.

Although surgery is drastic, and it doesn’t always fix the underlying problem of bad diet or poor exercise habits that contributed to the disease, it can be one method for a cure for heart disease. One such common surgery is that of angioplasty. This procedure uses a tiny balloon to push open blocked arteries around the heart to aid in the flow of blood, and help in the cure for heart disease.

Another surgical method that is gaining popularity in the cure for heart disease is that of bypass surgery. In this procedure, small pieces of veins or arteries are taken from another portion of the body, sometimes the arms or legs, and used to create a bypass for the blood around the blocked blood vessel.

Which is Right for You?

Which cure for heart disease is correct for you can only be decided by consulting with your chosen medical professional, and perhaps even consulting a cardiologist would be in order. Most likely the best cure for heart disease would be a combination of exercise diet, and surgical options as outlined by your doctor.

Michael Crockett

Author Bio
Michael Crockett’s website official weightloss4idiots.com <br

There are many things in life that men get easily annoyed or impatient with such as traffic jams, ignorant drivers, complaining, inappropriate text messages; the list goes on and on. It’s normal for anyone to get angry with these things, but the feelings seem stronger for some men than others. For the extremely hot headed, the littlest thing could make them fly off the handle. Some even enjoy having a bad temper; it makes them feel more masculine. Uncontrolled anger can even end a marriage or career or may be deadly. How do you know that your anger is out of control?

There has been evidence that confirms anger can diminish your health. Anger is more than just an emotion; it is actually psychological as well as physiological. When you lose your temper at a moments notice your nervous system leads to increased breathing and cortisol levels, higher blood pressure, dilated pupils, and headaches. Basically your body is getting into the flight or fight response mode due to the increased stress.

A recent study found that people who had increased levels of anger with normal blood pressure were more likely to develop a coronary artery disease and 3x’s more likely to get a heart attack than the least angry people. Anger’s stress hormones could contribute to arteriosclerosis, the build up of plaques in the arteries that can cause heart attacks and strokes. It has also been linked to depression. Angry people are less likely to take care of themselves, eat unhealthy, smoke, and drink excessively. Being angry is fine as long<div

Older people sometimes develop dementia, a somewhat common condition that results in mental and emotional confusion. Some of these people, often those who are institutionalized, display anger outbursts due to relatively mild provocations, such as an unwanted meal item. At other times the anger is warranted, as when another resident initiates a conflict. For reasons like these and others, anger management therapy for dementia patients is becoming increasingly important.

Symptoms That May Warrant Anger Management Therapy

It may be difficult to determine at first who is eligible for anger management therapy. Residents with dementia who live at home or in nursing facilities often try to express themselves in non-traditional ways. While someone who wants their breakfast oatmeal served hotter can just say so, someone with dementia might be able to just make anxious sounds, pace, or even throw the oatmeal on the floor. If someone in your care exhibits dissatisfaction with some aspect of daily care, try to figure out what is bothering the person, and make any needed adjustments that you can.

Dementia patients may raise their voice, swing their arms, push, shove, or yank at things or people to convey their irritation. Caregivers must learn to decipher true anger from confusion or self-defense against other aggressive residents. Anger management therapy should be considered for those who express real anger inappropriately.

Some dementia residents may withdraw socially, stop talking to others, or gesticulate excitedly when they are upset. Sometime

s these actions are in response to legitimate concerns, while at other times they may reflect unsuitable anger that needs to be redirected. If the person is able to understand and respond to caregivers in appropriate ways, he or she may be eligible for anger management therapy.

Anger Management Therapy for Dementia Patients

Any anger management therapy facilitator or coordinator who works with dementia residents will need to understand the way that those with dementia communicate, and the types of triggers that can draw their anger. This may require some training in long-term facility care, gerontology, and dementia behaviours. The therapist may attempt group or individual therapy, depending on the patient?s needs and abilities.

In anger management therapy, the coordinator may try to make the resident understand the consequences of anger outbursts, or attempt to teach the resident how to redirect anger in acceptable ways. At times, the therapist might want to work with the resident?s physician, social worker, and family to achieve the best results. This type of effort could take a long time and may be only partially successful yet, any progress is undoubtedly helpful.

Family members and caregivers who want to know more can visit websites like anger-management-information.com for more complete information on how to address this key social and interpersonal behavior. They also can get in touch with the doctor, nursing staff, and social worker for help in assisting a dementia patient through anger management therapy that may lead to improved outcomes for the resident and those that provide his or her care and support.

blueboy

Author Bio
<a
