</script></div><p>It&#8217;s a common fear among many couples that fertility problems are going to wreak havoc on their marriage and even lead to divorce. Women in particular seem to harbor the fear that their husbands feel as if they are failing them, and will trade them in for a &#8216;working model.&#8217; However, it has been proven that many couples are able to address and even overcome their fertility problems to not only keep their marriage together, but to make it even stronger as well. So how can a couple do this? How can they be sure that their marriage one of those that not only survives, but that thrives, even through the terribly difficult issue of fertility problems? Let&#8217;s discuss a few pointers here.</p><p>Communication is Key</p><p>One of the worse mistakes any couple can make when dealing with fertility problems is to keep their thoughts and feelings bottled up inside. This can only cause tension and further stress, not only for themselves, but on their marriage as well. It&#8217;s important to keep up with regular communication between the two of you. And remember, communication means listening as well as talking, so it&#8217;s important to listen as much as it is to talk. Are you really hearing what your spouse is telling you about his or her feelings and expectations? Are you willing to step up and be there for him or her in the way they really need?</p><p>Avoid Blame and Anger</p><p>Remember, your fertility problems are probably not your partner&#8217;s fault, and even if it is, there is no reason for blame or anger. Even if you are the one who has physical limitations that are causing issues with conception, again, there is no need for unnecessary anger or resentment. Many people are born with physical issues they need to have addressed and that perhaps interfere with their marriage; this is part of the world we live in today.</p><p>Appreciate the Good</p><p>Your fertility problems do not need to define you or your marriage. Chances are there are many, many positive things in your life and your relationship overall that you can still appreciate and enjoy individually and as a couple. Make time for activities that you can do together, and be sure that you don&#8217;t talk about your fertility issues during this time. Remember that there are probably many things in your life that you can still enjoy while working on addressing your fertility problems.</p><p>If you do all these things, you&#8217;re sure to find that your marriage will be one that survives even the roughest patches. However, don&#8217;t assume that these things will just take care of themselves. </script></div><p>Cognitive Therapy was initially developed as a treatment for depression by Psychiatrist Aaron T Beck. It has now become popular for the treatment of a wide range of psychological disorders.</p><p>Its guiding principle is that while we cannot control what life throws at us we can choose how we react to the situation or event. Beck believed that   we can change how we feel by changing what we think. The CBT therapist will focus primarily on the here and now and not so much on past issues.</p><p>People with Eating Disorders tend to have distorted thinking in relation to food and body image.</p><p>Typical Bulimic thoughts might be:</p><p>“I ate a bag of chips today and I feel like I have gained 5 inches on my hips”</p><p>I shouldn’t have eaten that Chinese take away now I have to throw it up”</p><p>I will only eat breakfast today so I can lose the extra fat I put on yesterday.</p><p>I know I look huge in these jeans and no one can tell me any different, I have to get down to a size 6 and then I will feel happy”.</p><p>If I lost 10 more pounds he will love me”</p><p>These examples illustrate that a negative thought  is instantly translated into feeling fat.</p><p>The challenge for the person with Bulimia is to become more aware of your negative self beliefs.</p><p>Identify how these negative thoughts are making you feel (i.e. shame, guilt, anger, sadness) and how these feelings can lead you to a binge.</p><p>This is the Thought/ Feeling /Behavior cycle.</p><p>People with Eating Disorders tend to have other related difficulties in their life<div

</script></div><p>If you&#8217;re hearing more about body detox these days, it&#8217;s no accident. Detox ain&#8217;t just for drugs or alcohol. It&#8217;s for all of us. We live in a world of air pollution, water pollution, and bad habits. The chemical revolution is still going on, and chemicals, both healthy and not, surround us everywhere.</p><p>The US Department of Health and Human Services, through the Centers for Disease Control, performs a survey called NHanes that assesses the health and nutritional status of adults and children in the United States through interviews and direct physical examinations. They found that, in 2003-2004, two-thirds of adults in the U.S. were overweight or obese. Almost 20% of teenagers were found to be overweight or obese.</p><p>In today&#8217;s busy life, we bombard our bodies with fast food, processed food, and a mountain of preservatives and additives every day. And now, we hear about genetically altered &#8220;designer&#8221; foods whose impact on our bodies is still largely unknown.</p><p>Despite the popular focus on health and lifestyle choices, most of us are walking a very thin line when it comes to our diet. The current obesity epidemic is clear evidence that our diets and our lifestyle are out of control. Given this bleak picture, the good news is that people are becoming more aware of the foods they eat.</p><p>When we talk about &#8220;detoxification,&#8221; we&#8217;re talking about the process of removing toxins from our bodies. For our purposes in this article, body detox refers to the use of diets, herbs, and other pro<div

It&#8217;s a healthy choice in an otherwise unhealthy world. But don&#8217;t be fooled. Body detox means a change in lifestyle. It means eating a more balanced combination of healthy, natural foods. It means drinking more water and less coffee and soda. It means regular exercise. It means avoiding fast food, junk food, and processed prepared meals (including frozen dinners and canned goods). These changes will not be easy, and you probably won&#8217;t want to take it all on at once. But you can begin today to change the way you approach food.</p><p>Changing your lifestyle and undertaking body detox also means more and more regular exercise. You don&#8217;t have to join a gym and buy a bunch of new exercise clothes. You just need to get up and move more! Take brisk walks, go bowling, walk when you want to ride, carry your own groceries to the car. There are a million ways to get more exercise without even noticing it.</p><p>If you&#8217;re more serious about detoxing your body, you may want to investigate a detox diet. It will reduce the toxins in your body, relieve aches and pains, reduce the discomfort of allergies, improve digestive problems, and increase your energy level. You can find many body detox recipes on the internet. A trip to your local health food store is also a good way to learn about body detox foods and recipes.</p><p>When you&#8217;re committed to body detox, eat as many fresh fruits as you can. Favor nuts, beans, rice, and grains over fried foods and gravy. And try to avoid sugary desserts, caffeine, alcohol, yeast-rich dishes, and processed foods that contain many questionable preservatives and additives.</p><p>A one- or two-day fast is a good way to transition in and out of your body detox effort. Be sure to get plenty of liquids, especially water, during your fast. And don&#8217;t push it. If hunger becomes an obsession, have a piece of fruit or a few carrots or celery sticks. You don&#8217;t have to punish yourself during your body detox.</p><p>There are many other ways to detox and to change your lifestyle to one that promotes personal health and happiness. Re-acquaint yourself with nature. Go outdoors and enjoy the fresh air. Take a long walk at the beach or in your neighborhood park or nature preserve. Incorporate &#8220;me time&#8221; into your daily schedule, and make it a family affair too. Keep active and interested in the world around you. Get involved.</p><p>For a real body detox treat, go to the spa. Have a relaxing massage or deep-cleaning facial. When you shower, use a brush to accelerate the detox process. Brushing your skin gently will improve your circulation and help you shed those layers of toxin-rich dead skin.</p><p>Help your body eliminate toxins naturally. Drink at least four quarters (or liters) of water every day. Eat fiber-rich foods like raspberries, blackberries, broccoli, apples (with the skin), spinach, almonds or peanuts, and good old stone-ground whole wheat. And when you stop by that health food store, look for teas and other herbs that will encourage regular bowel movements.</p><p>Body detox involves some mind detox too. Negative thinking, believe it or not, contributes to the production of toxins and over-acidity in the body. Rid yourself of worry, anger, and pessimism. They serve no positive purpose, and they are unhealthy. Smile until you want to smile.</p><p>There&#8217;s no bad time to start body detox. Today&#8217;s hurried, high-stress pace cries out for a little personal self-care. And your family deserves the same healthy lifestyle. Body detox may be as simple as working on your attitude, ridding yourself of negative, destructive thinking that compromises your health. It can be as easy as taking a walk in the park or treating yourself to a long, hot shower. It can also be as complex as adopting and sticking to a strict detox diet that cleans your tissues and organs of harmful pathogens and over-acid chemistry. It&#8217;s your choice. The important thing is finding a way to cleanse yourself.</p><p>Whatever approach you choose, you&#8217;re doing yourself and those around you a favor. You&#8217;re bringing some sanity back into your life and setting an example for your children and your social circle. </script></div><p>Radical tendencies, irrespective of their origin, are one of the most dangerous threats to world peace and security. Radicalism means to advocate fundamental and sudden changes by means of uncompromising and hard-line policies. In an environment where mutual acceptance and understanding have ceased to exist, people begin to feel animosity toward different ideologies or races without knowing what the other party really represents or believes.</p><p>In our own time, radicalism has emerged among Muslims, Christians, and Jews. This situation is abused and taken advantage of by proponents of Samuel Huntington&#8217;s proposed clash of civilizations theory. The scale of radicalism&#8217;s threat to world peace has become apparent in the 9/11 attacks on the United States and its consequences. The fact that these attacks are widely believed to have been carried out in the name of Islam resulted in a great deal of prejudice against Muslims and misunderstanding of Islam. Given the fact that Islam prohibits all acts of violence and aggression, most of the Islamic world condemned these terrorist attacks. Muslims prayed alongside Christians for the innocent lives lost, and American Muslims rushed to the aid of the victims. Despite this, prejudice against Muslims in the United States and some European countries has vastly increased, and incidences of violence have been reported. In order to eradicate radicalism and its damaging consequences, cultural and educational campaigns designed to reach all sections of society must be organized. src="http://d3j8p5ii4twsdt.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/cc/Anger_control_activities62.jpg" alt='Anger control activities' /></a></div>sibilities of various sections of society to be covered by this program, as follows:</p><p>An awareness that radicalism, an extremist tendency that is incompatible with true religious morality, must be defeated ideologically so that its claim to be acting in the name of religion can be exposed as false. People of all three divinely revealed religions must be told that they have a responsibility to be compassionate, patient, gentle, friendly, polite, and respectful. They have to be made aware that God forbids violence, aggression, and anything that harms innocent people. They must understand that it is wrong to go down that path. These efforts will ensure that all radicals will be recognized as misguided liars and thereby prevented from finding new recruits.</p><p>A program must be designed to give full and accurate information about all parties involved in the conflict, so that international dialogue becomes possible. An important step toward mutually friendly relations is the creation of an environment in which Jews, Christians, and Muslims can begin to know each other&#8217;s beliefs, traditions, and rituals better. This can be done through cultural and educational programs. As people come to know each other better, they will realize that they have many things in common. This, in turn, will make reconciliation possible. Muslims, Christians, and Jews should tell one another about their respective worldviews in line with God&#8217;s divine books of revelation, thereby preventing the mutual misunderstanding and radicalism caused by a lack of accurate knowledge.</p><p>The media must support the cultural activities necessary to create an environment conducive to international dialogue. They should refrain from sensationalism, which incites violence and segregation, and focus on broadcasts that encourage moderation and acceptance. Carefully prepared broadcasts by the western media will play an important role in eradicating the currently widespread anti-Muslim prejudice. Muslim media organizations, for their part, must refrain from broadcasts and opinions that incite hatred toward non-Muslims and concentrate instead on cultural and spiritual education in the Islamic world.</p><p>Jewish, Christian, and Muslim religious leaders and opinion makers must identify people who are bent on portraying myths and false beliefs as part of the religious code. They must teach people that God commands believers to be balanced and gentle, and that all extremism is contrary to religious morality. Political leaders must support this awareness campaign in order to prevent extremism in society and to prepare the ground for moderation.</p><p>These and similar joint efforts will eradicate the conditions conducive to radicalism. In Qur&#8217;an 2:113, God reveals that the Jews claimed that the Christians &#8220;have nothing to stand on&#8221; and vice versa. In reality, God knows best who is right, which is why genuine believers must seek to draw closer to God instead of accusing one another. The following verse reveals that people who act otherwise are wrong:</p><p>The Jews say: &#8220;The Christians have nothing to stand on,&#8221; and the Christians say: &#8220;The Jews have nothing to stand on,&#8221; yet they both recite the Book. Those who do not know say the same as they say. God will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection regarding the things about which they differ. (Qur&#8217;an, 2:113)</p><p>Eradicating the harm caused by Jewish, Christian, and Muslim radicals is possible only if all moderate, peace-loving, civilized, and genuinely religious people cooperate and form an alliance. Such an alliance will defeat those who present war and conflict as the only option, and disprove the assertions of those who advocate a show of force as the only way to achieve security and prevent further bloodshed, tears, and material damage.</p><p>Qur&#8217;anic Morality Forbids Extremism</p><p>Islamic societies have been centers of mutual acceptance and goodwill toward non-Muslims throughout history, particularly in our Prophet&#8217;s (may God bless him and grant him peace) time.</p><p>Radicalism is an ideological movement and political approach that is foreign to Islam. When radical groups are examined, it gradually becomes clear that they are, in reality, using a compilation of communist slogans and methods or that they have adopted the &#8220;fanatical rage of the Time of Ignorance&#8221; (Qur&#8217;an, 48:26). One of the common characteristics of such ideologies is their emotional force, an underlying cause of radicalism that is totally incompatible with God&#8217;s commands. The Qur&#8217;an describes Muslims as people who control their anger and who are reasonable, moderate, and tolerant. Muslims must be polite and respectful when interacting with people of different beliefs and ideologies.</p><p>All Muslims must refrain from a harsh, angry, and challenging approach, for these are contrary to the Qur&#8217;an&#8217;s method and essence. Instead, Muslims must adopt the accepting, moderate, calm, and rational approach described in the Qur&#8217;an. In other words, they must be role models for humanity and earn people&#8217;s admiration for the morality of Islam and themselves. Muslims should also make great progress and produce superb works of science, culture, art, and aesthetics, as well as live Islam in the best way, and thus represent it to the world.</p><p>Under the pen name of Harun Yahya, Adnan Oktar has written some 250 works.
