Stress relief exercises is not just about being a little less worried or anxious, it can in fact be something that can change your life and save your mind and body from bad health!

Stress relief exercises is not just about being a little less worried or anxious, it can in fact be something that can change your life and save your mind and body from bad health!

The reason for this is that stress is more than an irritant for everyone, as those who are very stressed out can probably see. Too much stress over a decent length of time can effect the body and mind in multiple ways such as:

* Increases your blood pressure

* Helps to develop anxiety disorders and depression

* Lowers your immune system

* Messes with your hormones

* Cause anger and irritability which hurts social connections and family

With this knowledge you can see why stress reduction is so important! Doing this can be approached in a few different ways that are primarily about reducing cortisol and other stress related hormones and promoting endorphins which is a chemical in your body that makes you feel good and on control. Some tips to do this are:

* Intense Exercise - Exercise at a high enough intensity produces endorphins in your body that make you feel confident, happy and in control which combats the stressful feelings you may have. Doing this will also boost your immune system as exercise makes you healthier and promotes good immune response.

* Listen to Relaxing Music - Studies have shown that time alone without distraction listening to music that is relaxing allows the body to reduce cortisol levels and ignites the production of endorphins too. This is akin to meditation in a way which is another good way to relieve stress.

* Exist in the Now - Too many people suffering from stress are so because they are worrying about events in the past or by future problems not even happening yet. Instead you should live life in the moment. This does not mean you should not be thinking about the future or looking back at the past occasionally but when you are beginning to stress because of something you cannot alter you must put those thoughts aside because they are negative and intrusive and do nothing for you.
