Do you think there is no risk in using shampoos? Well, I’m not against using shampoo. But, there are things that you should understand if you use it often. The scalp upon which our hair lies is actually skin. For the same reason it produces oil as well like most of the other parts of our skin. We should consider the scalp as a skin while using shampoo on our head. So, what are the things that should keep in mind while using shampoo in order to make sure that we are not doing anything harmful for the scalp? That’s something we’ll be discuss in the coming paras.
The scalp will dry out if remains of soap or shampoo are left unwashed! So, make sure that you wash off shampoo fully after applying it to your hair. Don’t think that using more amount than prescribed in the label can do good to your hair. It’s not like that! Just use a pea sized amount if you are with short hairs, and if you are with long hairs, then you may use little bit more. But don’t use any more than needed. It’s not difficult to make out the correct quantity. Make sure that it reaches each and every hair, and use only that much amount which will do just that.
Before applying shampoo to your hair directly, just put it in your hands and then make lather out of it. Then apply it evenly through out. It will prevent the shampoo from concentrating too much on one specific part of your hair. Keep in mind that, it is the root of your hair which should get most of the applied shampoo than the tail. So apply shampoo in such a way that the tip of the hair just gets some shampoo while the root gets it in more amount. And the case with a conditioner is opposite to using shampoos. In this case, the roots don’t need it in high amounts than the tip. So, apply less amount of conditioner in the root and more on the tip of the hairs.
